Erin Glass is a Digital Fellow and English Ph.D. student at The CUNY Graduate Center. Her work explores the intersections of poetry, technology and education in 20th-century America. Specifically, she is interested in how technologies of dissemination influence the way writers define their role, practice and product. In her digital work, she helps build online collaborative spaces for students and scholars. Currently she is working on Social Paper, a free software project funded by a NEH Digital Start Up Grant to “socialize” student writing. Before coming to the Graduate Center, she worked as an arts journalist in California and also as an organic farm worker in upstate New York.
